Position Summary
The company is in search of a Concrete Product Manager who will be responsible for leading the planning, production and sale of concrete products. In this role, the Manager will have the responsibility of monitoring daily operations, budgets, safety, production flow and material costs.
Responsibilities
Plan, production and sale of concrete products
Determine profitable products to be produced and sold
Ensure the efficient management of operations of all manufacturing units
Optimize efficiency, productivity and equipment performance in order to meet targets
Ensure the proper functioning of block making equipment and identify potential problems
Oversee maintenance of all equipment
Oversee inventory control and counts
Ensure compliance with Standards and Operation Procedures
Analyze data drawn from production reports in order to estimate production cost, identify possible improvements, reduce losses and the number of breakdowns as well as improve efficiency
Motivate employees, be a positive source of influence and lead by example
Take responsibility and be accountable for professional development of subordinates
Work with all departments to execute the policies and goals of the organization
Ensure the product quality standards are met through monitoring, inspections and material testing procedures
Ensure the unit meets its expected financial returns
Oversee the production planning, staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner, accurately track and record KPI’s, troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
Ensure good customer service
In charge of sales
Prepare and submit monthly reports on production levels, sales and profitability
Strong commitment to health, safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance
Required Skills or Experience
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, Business Management or related field is required.
Relevant Work Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ progressive working experience in the block or concrete production industry or environment
Significant experience within the building construction industry is a plus
Practical experience in planning, project management and organizational skills
Skills in marketing and sales
Skills and Other Competencies:
Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, planning, organisational and time management skills
Mechanically inclined with good trouble shooting skills
Good communication and report writing skills (verbal and in writing)
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Advance knowledge in Excel is a plus
Ability to work to deadlines

Excellent negotiation skills
Able to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends when necessary
