Credit Control Officer

A reputable non-bank financial institution is seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons for the following position: Credit Control Officer JOB TITLE: Credit Control Officer GRADE: Assistant Manager REPORTS TO: Head of Finance Key Responsibilities • Ensure prompt and accurate entries of all remittances in Software • Ensure prompt and accurate pairing of all remittances in Software • Ensure accurate monthly statements are sent to partners promptly • Undertake quarterly reconciliation of balances with partners • Produce a quarterly schedule of outstanding balances for the Supervisor’s review • Produce a reliable ageing analysis of partner balances • Assist in developing a credit control policy for the company • Assist in setting and monitoring of credit limits for partners • Ensure demand letters are sent to partners who do not adhere to payment terms • Ensure reconciliation of partner balances in technical and accounting software • Produce a monthly report on the activities of the credit control unit • Ensure prompt collection of outstanding balances to minimise impairment provision • Any other duty that may be relevant to the performance of the credit control function Qualification Required & Experience • Must be a Chartered Accountant • Relevant University degree plus a minimum of six (6) years work experience including two years in a managerial position or • Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the insurance industry.
